There are many ways to stay happy and content in life. But whether one is achieving his goals or doing what they want in life, a very important factor in continuing a content life is to stay healthy. Where there is health, there is your wealth. Everyone has their own metabolism rate. Depending on that some put on weight fast and some do not. Whatever might be the metabolism, at the end of the day, eating more than you need will end up as fat in your body. Being overweight can lead to a host of long term problems such as diabetes and hypertension. A question to ask yourself is, why let yourself get overweight when you know it is not going to help you. A healthy diet and regular exercise go a long way in making you fit and agile. Being light in the body will also make you feel light in your thoughts.
So, lost that weight and boost your happiness quotient. Get up from that couch and take a walk or jog through the nearest park. Eat food high in protein and low in fat. Take the right amount of carbohydrates without going overboard. Restrict your intake of junk food to occasional indulgences. Diet, especially a balanced one is a very important factor in keeping your weight under control. Take in those vegetables as often as possible. Also, take regular helpings of fruits to not only become healthy, but also to feel good.
